In the Fall of 2022, we conducted a survey regarding community needs. An ACPS family support worker identified a need for cleaning supplies and hygiene items that weren't covered by families' SNAP benefits.

We reached out to the African American Pastors Council and together with Sentara, they were able to donate 250 bags of supplies for families across 14 schools schools, the family support program through the department of social services, and ACPS's Families in Crisis program.

Along with members from Ebenezer Church, supplies were purchased in bulk and sorted into bags.  FHF volunteers signed up to deliver bags to schools.
